MELVINDALE, Mich.,
August. 14, 2012 – Evans Distribution Systems is celebrating its 10th consecutive year as one of the top 100 third-party logistics providers in the United States in the annual list from Inbound Logistics magazine.
Evans, a family-owned company with an 83-year history, made the list following Inbound Logistics’ qualitative assessment of more than 300 service providers’ warehousing, transportation, and overall supply chain solutions. The magazine chose the top 100 based on how well equipped they are to meet and surpass their clients’ evolving outsourcing needs.
“Today’s economic climate has made it even more imperative for us to take the lead in implementing best practices to deliver value to our customers. We are proud to be recognized by the industry for the work we do each and every day to provide the best possible logistics services,” said Leslie Ajlouny, vice president of business development, Evans Distribution Systems.
Evans Distribution has had a successful year with launching its new government support services (GSS) division, starting up new operations in Itasca, Ill., and Romulus, Mich., and expanding its Evans Resource Solutions (ERS) logistics staffing division.
“3PLs continue to act as force equalizers, providing the solutions that companies large and small rely on to solve the tactical logistics issues of serving customers better, faster, and more efficiently,” said Felecia Stratton, editor, Inbound Logistics. “Evans Distribution Systems is responsive, and continues to anticipate evolving needs by offering the strategic solutions required to drive business process improvement and change for their customers. For those reasons, Inbound Logistics editors are proud to recognize Evans as one of the Top 100 3PLs for 2012.”
