MELVINDALE, Mich. July 12, 2023—Evans Distribution Systems, a provider of third-party logistics and supply chain solutions, proudly announces the impending retirement of Leslie Ajlouny, Chief Marketing Officer. Although Ajlouny is scheduled to conclude her full-time responsibilities by the end of this year, she will remain an invaluable asset to the company, offering her ongoing support in a part-time capacity moving forward.
Throughout her impressive 34-year tenure with Evans, Ajlouny has made an indelible impact on the company’s success. Ajlouny began her journey with Evans as a Customer Service Manager in 1989. She was tasked with the alignment of customer service operations across the company’s warehouses, ensuring consistency and efficiency. In 1994, Ajlouny transitioned to Sales and Marketing where she played a pivotal role in the expansion of Evans’ services, locations, and customer base in multiple markets. During her 30 years as the leader of the Sales & Marketing team, she guided Evans through significant growth while the company maintained its unique family atmosphere that continues to define the company’s culture.
Ajlouny’s contributions extend beyond Evans, as she is widely recognized as a leader in the warehouse and logistics industry. In addition to her longstanding involvement with Associated Warehouses, Inc. (AWI), and the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), Ajlouny served as President of the Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC) in 2005-2006 and held the role of Chairwoman of the International Warehouse Logistics Association (IWLA) in 2020-2021. Ajlouny dedicated numerous years to IWLA’s Insurance and Legal Committee, which recently updated the Standard Terms & Conditions, setting the industry standard for warehouse contracts. She is considered a thought leader and speaks frequently at industry conferences and events throughout the country.

I have had the privilege of working alongside many dedicated and talented individuals over the years. Watching them grow, develop, and succeed has been immensely rewarding. I am forever grateful to John W. Evans and John A. Evans for trusting me, supporting me, and challenging me. While it is hard to envision life after Evans for me and my family, we are looking forward to this next chapter with excitement and optimism. I look forward to seeing what the talented team at Evans accomplishes going forward!”
