Evans Distribution Systems Launches New Government Support Services Division

MELVINDALE, Mich., March 13, 2012 –

Evans Distribution Systems, a full-service 3PL of warehousing, transportation and value-added solutions, announced today that it has established a new division, Government Support Services, Inc. The new division will help support government agencies and sub-contractors with logistics and supply chain management.

“Through this new division, Evans can leverage the knowledge and expertise developed over almost 85 years supporting the commercial sector to bring high-quality solutions to the government sector,” said John A. Evans, president of Evans Distribution Systems. “This is an area where we feel our experience can be a tremendous asset. Evans has contracted the services of Stackpoole Consulting, a Michigan-based company specializing in defense and government contracting, to support the success of this initiative.
