MELVINDALE, Mich. September 11, 2024 — Evans Distribution Systems, a provider of third-party logistics and supply chain solutions, has been recognized as a “Top 100 Trucker” by Inbound Logistics.

Alden Logistics, Inc., is the asset-based transportation division of Evans Distribution Systems. Alden Logistics is a 24-hour, seven days a week operation that includes 125 drivers. The company provides full truckload, expedite, refrigerated, specialized equipment, and drayage services throughout Michigan and the Midwest.
This year, Evans has invested heavily in Alden’s technology to digitalize its transportation operations. This includes adopting a new transportation management system. The new software streamlines the shipment process with digital delivery, hours, and billing documentation. Additionally, drivers log BOLs and route information through a tablet which provides real-time shipment data that is visible to our customers.
Several years ago, Alden drivers received a dashboard camera to enhance safety while on the road. The AI-driven software is designed to detect road hazards and alert drivers and dispatch teams to reduce accidents.
“Drivers are extremely hardworking. Most of them complete truck safety inspections before many of us begin our day. It is important that we continue to research the latest innovations to operate more efficiently and safely when drivers are focusing on the road,” says Trocki.
