MELVINDALE, Mich. March 12, 2024 — Evans Distribution Systems, a provider of third-party logistics and supply chain solutions, welcomes Micca Myers as Manager of Transportation and International Operations.
In her role, Myers oversees the operations for Evans’ non-asset-based transportation operation, Evans Logistics Inc., (ELI). She manages the dispatch staff and daily operations. In addition, Myers is charged with bringing in new business, customer retention, and growing Evans’ international business.
“We are thrilled to welcome Micca to our growing transportation team,” says Anthony Trocki, Vice President of Transportation. “She brings 29 years of operational experience from some of the largest logistics companies in the world. We look forward to transferring that knowledge to our team.”
Evans Distribution has set a company-wide goal of expanding internationally in recent years. “The new Gordie Howe International Bridge is nearing completion. We believe Micca’s experience with international shipping will be a valuable asset to expanding ELI across the border and growing our Canadian partnerships,” Trocki says.
Prior to Evans, Myers was a Terminal Manager at Universal Intermodal, XPO, and Bridge Terminal Transport for 27 years. She was responsible for managing daily activities of large intermodal container drayage operations including billing, customer service, recruitment, safety, and compliance.
“I’m enthusiastic about leading this important role at Evans Distribution Systems,” Myers says. “I’m focused on building a strong team, streamlining our operational processes, and working with the sales and marketing team to grow our customer base.”
Myers holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Supply Chain from Iowa State University. She and her husband reside in Westland, Mich.
