Some clients require inventory or shipment labels to be attached to packaging (i.e., box, case, pallet, etc.). Many labels contain barcoded information, to allow scanning devices to quickly and automatically transfer the information into inventory systems. In some cases, labels are pre-printed and pre-affixed by the manufacturer. In other cases, labels must be created and applied by the Distribution Center prior to shipment of the product in accordance with retailer or customer requirements.
