Warehouse Management System (WMS)

A warehouse management system, or WMS, is a software application designed to support and optimize the processes involved in a warehouse or distribution center. It can automate and manage activities such as receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. The goal is to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the warehouse operations and to provide real-time visibility and control over the inventory levels and movement of goods within the warehouse. A typical warehouse management system can include features such as barcode scanning, real-time inventory tracking, order management, and shipping label creation. It can also integrate with other systems such as transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to provide a comprehensive view of the entire supply chain process.
